This was a super fun graduation cake I did for Amanda, who graduated from St. Edward’s University, here in Austin. Each book was a different flavor of cake: Tres Leches, Tiramisu, and Chocolate cake with Peppermint buttercream. Congrats!
This cake was our Tiramisu cake- vanilla cake lightly soaked in an expresso liquor, filled with chocolate ganache and mascarpone mousse, finished with vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant. We delivered this cake to the party, being held at Eddie V’s in downtown Austin.
I did this cute Wizard of Oz themed cake for little Haven’s Birthday this past Saturday at the Austin Children’s Museum. The cake was Chocolate Cake with Chocolate buttercream, finalized with vanilla buttercream and fondant accents.
I love doing the tie-dyed/swirl look on cakes, because you really never know what design you will end up with, and you only get one try! This cake was actually done for a medical school graduation party that they held on a boat off of Lake Austin.
This was my first suitcase cake, and it was made for a very special occasion! My sister’s going away party! She left for the Peace Corps. in August. She will be stationed in the Ukraine teaching English. I made her favorite, Carrot Cake with Cream cheese icing.
