This was a super fun graduation cake I did for Amanda, who graduated from St. Edward’s University, here in Austin. Each book was a different flavor of cake: Tres Leches, Tiramisu, and Chocolate cake with Peppermint buttercream. Congrats!
This cake was our Tiramisu cake- vanilla cake lightly soaked in an expresso liquor, filled with chocolate ganache and mascarpone mousse, finished with vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant. We delivered this cake to the party, being held at Eddie V’s in downtown Austin.
This was my first suitcase cake, and it was made for a very special occasion! My sister’s going away party! She left for the Peace Corps. in August. She will be stationed in the Ukraine teaching English. I made her favorite, Carrot Cake with Cream cheese icing.
I loved doing this cake, something about it made me so happy! I couldn’t resist singing “yo, ho, yo, ho, the pirates life for me!”, when making this cake! Here is a picture of the birthday boy as well, with the cake.
This cake was for an adorable princess themed tea party birthday for Jackie (who turned 5). When I walked into the party it was everything a little girl could imagine! The cake was vanilla with vanilla buttercream inside, and they also ordered 20 matching teacup cookies to go along with it.
